Austin’s got Soul

Sitting at one of my favorite cafes in Austin today. I really do like this city. It’s got such a unique flavor. To me, the recipe for Austin is:

3 parts Texas
2 parts San Francisco
1 part West Village (NYC)
and even a dash of New Orleans (like salt is a flavor enhancer, any amount of New Orleans is a Soul enhancer)

I’ve also spent some time on the “East-side” this week (east of 35) and I have to say, I’m getting a little whiff of Brooklyn as well.
